This week’s film recommendation is thriller-comedy It’s What’s Inside (2024). The film may remind some of Bodies Bodies Bodies, but also feels like a fresh take on the genre. This hilarious and boldly shot thriller features a cast of crazy characters who attend a reunion and leave completely different. This movie explores themes of toxic masculinity, insecurity, and truth and subjectivity.

Director Greg Jardin quickly establishes a tone of dark hilarity and continues solidifying it throughout the film despite insane twists and turns that’ll have your head spinning. Additionally, the cinematography is jaw-dropping at times, and basically lays a roadmap for how to enjoy and understand an occasionally confusing film.
